This version of our 607 holster clip is typically covered in leather and then installed with the flat, backside behind a layer of Cordura, or leather, or even Kydex type material. Then a rivet or screw is used to prevent the clip from being pulled out. Mounting this way creates a nice, smooth, and professional-looking all-leather finished appearance. See photos -

This clip has a black oxide treatment, which is a temporary coating to prevent rusting. Black oxide clips are typically covered with a leather finger or finished with black powder coating, or nickel-plated. Black oxide is not intended to be an end-user finish. Nickel-plated and powder-coated versions are available. Powder coating is a better end-user finish than these black-oxide versions and it has a better feel and a more professional, finished look.
